Description

Part-Time Position

Minimum Qualifications: - BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent - 5-7 years of accounting experience, preferably with audit background - Strong knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards - Proficiency in preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and audit-ready rollforward schedules - Ability to analyze complex account activity and identify discrepancies or needed adjustments - Experience supporting year-end close processes and external financial statement audits - Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment - Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Blackbaud Financial Edge, QuickBooks, or similar) and advanced Excel skills - Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Responsibilities: - Prepare and post journal entries to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting - Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies as needed - Prepare and maintain audit schedules and roll forward workpapers for key accounts - Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals and adjustments - Support external audit requests by gathering documentation and responding to inquiries - Collaborate with accounting team to identify and resolve backlog issues from prior period - Ensure all financial activities are in compliance with GAAP and internal policies - Document processes and contribute to improvements in accounting procedures
