Required Skills & Qualifications: - - High school graduate, GED, or equivalent.

o College-level coursework and completion of job-related training preferred - - Valid California Driver's License - * Proof of personal auto insurance - * Personal transportation with current California registration - * Excellent written and verbal skills in English and Spanish required. - * Ability to communicate with all levels of staff and community members of diverse backgrounds. - * Positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks are essential - * Three year's experience with general office methods and practices - * Three year's experience with personal computers in a Microsoft Windows environment - * Three years' experience with Microsoft Word and Excel; one-year experience with Microsoft Outlook; Microsoft Publisher and PowerPoint experience a plus.

Description of Duties: - - The Project Assistant provides assistance to the Community Health Services Department in a variety of areas. The Project Assistant provides administrative and clerical tasks of a relatively high level of complexity for the Healthy Families America program. They include maintenance of HFA program databases and generation of reports, data entry and quality improvement reviews for various activities, and maintenance of curriculum supply inventory and incentive items. The Project Assistant also provides support for staff at meetings and events and interfaces with the public, WIG and HFA partners, in person and by telephone.
