$68640.00 - $68640.00 Salary/year

Description

A PhD in the biological sciences field plus at least 1-2 years of experience in developmental biology, lung biology preferred

Advanced knowledge of biological processes

Expertise in human lung tissue handling and culture

Expertise in cell culture (primary cell and iPSC) and tissue culture

Expertise in molecular biology techniques (RNA, DNA extractions, rt-PCR, electrophoresis, ELISA etc)

Expertise in protein assays (extractions, WB)

Expertise in immunofluorescent staining and fluorescent in situ hybridization (RNAscope)

Expertise in imaging (confocal, light sheet, live-imaging etc.)

Familiarity with siRNA

Familiarity with Flow-cytometry

Familiarity with big data analyses

Ability to think independently and perform appropriate data analysis

Ability to write papers

Ability to write grants

Ability to work as a member of a team and help supervise other team members

Ability to work well under pressure and meet multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines

Ability to interact in an appropriate and professional manner

Demonstrates cooperative behavior and positive-problem solving and conflict resolution skills

Available to work dependable, flexible shift

· Responsibilities:

Conducting research and publishing papers in academic journals

Designing new scientific projects

Writing grant proposals to secure funding for research projects

Supervising and training students

Attending academic conferences

Participate in professional society events and activities

Participate in institutional activities

Other duties as may be assigned (required
