Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Laboratory or a related subject
One plus years of experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, or physiology. Additional experience with extensive bench lab work is preferred.
Knowledge of the use and maintenance of laboratory facilities and/or equipment.
Knowledge of laboratory and experimental protocols and procedures.
Skills in mice husbandry, blood and tissue retrieval with preferable skill in dissection of brain regions.
Skills in molecular and cellular techniques.
Skills in histochemistry and routine biochemistry.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to analyze and solve problems.
Responsibilities:
Participate in laboratory based investigations into the mechanisms of fetal and newborn developmental programming of offspring obesity.
Setting up and monitoring maternal obesity model in mice
Collecting and analyzing specific regions of the brain for gene expression
Establishing and analyzing primary cell cultures and immortalized cell lines.
Conduct experiments according to established protocols, ensuring precision and efficiency.
Salary: $19.23/hr.
