Job Description

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • MS degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Molecular/Cellular Biology, etc.), or comparable work experience.
  • Must have at least 2-3 years’ prior experience within a wet bench life sciences lab.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of biological processes
  • Advanced knowledge of biological processes
  • Expertise in cell culture (primary cell and iPSC) and tissue culture
  • Familiarity with micro-dissections
  • Expertise in molecular biology techniques (RNA, DNA extractions, rt-PCR, electrophoresis, ELISA etc)
  • Expertise in protein assays (extractions, WB)
  • Expertise in immunofluorescent staining and fluorescent in situ hybridization (RNAscope)
  • Expertise in imaging (confocal, light sheet, live-imaging etc.)
  • Familiarity in whole mount staining
  • Familiarity with siRNA
  • Familiarity with Flow-cytometry
  • Ability to think independently and perform appropriate data analysis
  • Can help contribute to manuscript preparation and grant submissions Ability to work well under pressure and meet multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines
  • Ability to interact in an appropriate and professional manner
  • Computer skills: working knowledge of MS-Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) is required.

  • Scientific writing: papers and grants
  • Directly supervise technicians and students in the lab
  • Organize and place orders for lab equipment and supplies
