DUTIES TITLE:  Staff Research Associate II

DUTIES

  1. Communicating with patients, CROs and Sponsors, compiling patient data and reviewing

source documents, transcribe source docs to CRFs;

  1. Execute study protocols and perform related assessments/procedures (i.e. obtain vital signs,

perform ECGs);

  1. Screen, enroll and randomize eligible patients;
  2. Filing, completion of logs, and contribute to clinical study reports;
  3. Compiling patient data, review source documents, transcribe source docs to CRFs; and
  4. Perform study related Assessments, i.e. obtain vital signs, perform ECGs.

REQUIREMENTS :   Master of Science degree or foreign equivalent in Biology, Biomedical Science,

or closely related field of study and at least 1 yr. of experience in job or closely related occupation.

Specific Skills :  Must possess expertise/ knowledge sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered. Expertise/ knowledge may be gained through employment experience , training or education. Such expertise/ knowledge required includes:

  • 6 months of cardiovascular research experience
  • Must have knowledge in or experience in ct imaging, cardiovascular anatomy, and managing medical databases
  • Managing patient with heart failure and ACS
  • Use of GE Smartscore Terarecon program for coronary artery calcification scoring
  • Using Osirix program for epicardial fat measurements and Vital Vitrea program for cardiac CT image manipulations
  • Performing clinical data analysis using SAS program
  • Performing timely ECRF data entry using Inform (phase forward), Oracle, Red Cap, Trial Recorder and Rave
  • Excellent organizational skills, spreadsheet , database skills, and communication skills
