The Lundquist Institute is looking for a Full-time CHOW III (Outreach & Social Media Assistant) to join our team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree-  Marketing, Communications and nutrition or health related field.  In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, WNA certification is required
  • Minimum two years experience in the WIC Program and experience creating a variety of content in social media platforms such as Instagram & Facebook 
  • Knowledge and familiarity with WIC Program services, policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of basic principles of maternal and child health and nutrition
  • Experience developing content for social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Google Suites, Google Trends, Canva
  • Attention to detail, proactive and resourceful
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Multitasking and analytical skills
  • Highly motivated, passionate and creative team player with demonstrated commitment to the organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Proficient bilingual English/Spanish written, interpersonal, and presentation communication skills

Description of Duties

The Outreach & Social Media Assistant (CHOW III) position requires knowledge and familiarity with WIC Program services, policies and procedures. Under the direction of the Chief, Outreach and Provider Relations Unit, and in coordination with the Director of Communications, the Outreach & Social Media Assistant promotes WIC and other MCH services.

The Outreach & Social Media Assistant (CHOW III) provides support and assistance to both the Chief, Outreach and Provider Relations Unit and the Director of Communications in various areas of communication, both print and digital.  This position requires both strategic and effective communication skills and requires sensitivity to and respect for the cultural and personal attitudes and beliefs of the target population.  Possible errors in judgment may result in sharing inaccurate information and failure to refer clients to needed services when appropriate.

Compensation: $16.48-25.11
